November 19

A bit cooler today, with the temperature and the dew point nearly meeting at surface level. That means fog and humidity!

The vertical atmospheric sounding also shows a shallow inversion, low surface winds, and a modest amount of precipitable water. Pollution shouldn’t be too much of a problem today.

Shown below are the visible satellite imagery, and then the colorized infrared imagery.

There are light clouds over the islands, but all of the really intense activity is located elsewhere in the pacific. The westerly winds aloft shouldn’t bring too much over the islands today, it should stay clear!

The sea level analysis sets a similar scene. Fiji is fairly isolated, with a light chance of rainfall.
