Christmas day will be slightly cloudy and dry! No white Christmas forecast for Fiji.

The webcam shows an 8:30 am image from the northwestern islands.

Screen shot 2013-12-24 at 12.23.00 PMThe large area colorized infrared satellite imagery shows that the islands have some scattered clouds, but most all of the cloud cover is far removed from the archipelago.

Below is the rainfall radar animation. Click the image to see the animation.

As per the usual, most rainfall is over the Koro Sea, with some activity moving towards Nausori and Suva. This smattering of activity should continue as the day goes on.

Lastly shown is the surface level analysis, with a nice message from the Fiji Met service regarding the holidays. As seen, the large cloud structures are off North of the islands, which further reinforces the relatively dry forecast for the day.
